Welcome to My Little Pakora! What exactly is a pakora?  Pakoras come in different colors and sizes: some are small with round cheeks and heads full of hair and others may be walking and talking. A pakora is a South Asian appetizer similiar to a vegetable fritter or tempura. Either way pakoras are yummy for all!

I have used the word pakora as a term of endearment for my daughter– who was the inspiration behind My Little Pakora. After her birth in 2006 I was struck by the parallels between the traditions of my Indian heritage and the principles of organic living– such as emphasis on natural food, home remedies, yoga and meditation, alternative medicine, and sustainable living.

As parents, we want to raise our children in the healthiest way possible, with the latest information about organic living.  My Little Pakora provides parents with unique clothing, education, and practical support for healthier living for their families and the larger environment.

At My Little Pakora we are committed to the environment and teaching families how to integrate organic elements into their everyday lives. For our products, we use certified organic cotton that is grown using sustainable farming techniques, without the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers. Our clothing line is certified by the Control Union Certification (SKAL) and our dyeing processes are eco-friendly, with low-impact, AZO-free dyeing.
